Moving and Storage Firm Two Guys and a Truck Hires Controller

Sterling, Virginia (August 13, 2008) - Two Guys and a Truck has a new “guy” on the executive team. The locally based moving and storage firm announced this week the hiring of longtime professional financial manager Ralph Castano as the company’s new controller.

Mr. Castano has a long record of sound financial management, having most recently helped guide Winchester-based DK Industrial Services through chapter 11 reorganization as that company’s comptroller. Previous to that position, he worked as an accounting manager for Leesburg-based REHAU, Inc.

“We’re thrilled to add Ralph’s considerable skills to our team,” said Two Guys and a Truck CEO David Underwood. “As we continue the growth of our business in Loudoun County, and as we sell more franchises around Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, we’ll need to have an experienced financial executive.”

Mr. Castano begins work in the newly created position immediately.

Northern Virginia-based moving and storage company Two Guys and a Truck® is trying to help its clients ease the stress of relocating, while at the same time helping a local Girl Scout troop and our military men and women overseas.

Two Guys and a Truck is teaming with Ashburn’s Girl Scout Teen Troop 4793 to assist with the annual Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital Cookie Sale. Every customer who books and moves with Two Guys and a Truck through the Sterling or Prince William County offices between mid-February and the end of March, 2008, will not only receive professional, courteous, and on-time moving … they’ll also receive a box of Girl Scout Cookies!

Two Guys and a Truck is also supporting Troop 4793′s Gift of Caring community service project. The project solicits donations to send cookies to members of the United States Armed Forces who are serving overseas. The idea for the offer came when Underwood’s stepdaughter, Olivia, approached him about finding a new marketing strategy for the troop’s annual cookie sale cookies. The cookie giveaway will continue while supplies last.

First Two Guys and a Truck® Franchise in Virginia Awarded to “One of the Guys”

(Sterling, Virginia) – Donald Combs is a five-year employee of moving and storage firm Two Guys and a Truck®, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales. His title is changing, however … to franchise owner! Two Guys and a Truck CEO David Underwood today announced that Combs is the new owner of the company’s first Virginia franchise.

Combs’ new franchise encompasses all of Prince William County and is initially being managed from Two Guys and a Truck’s headquarters in Sterling.

“I’m excited to put my experience to work growing this territory,” said Combs, who has spent much of his adult life in the moving and storage business. “My operation is already up and running, and we’re ready to serve Prince William County’s moving needs professionally and promptly.”

Combs says his primary goals will be to serve existing Two Guys and a Truck customers in Prince William, and also to grow the business in the county.

“I’m thrilled that Don is purchasing our Prince William County franchise,” said Underwood. “During Don’s years with Two Guys and a Truck, the company has grown significantly, in no small part due to his hard work. I’m certain he’ll be an excellent business owner. This move shows our commitment to creating opportunity for anyone who can demonstrate ability and a desire to succeed.”

Combs is the second entrepreneur to purchase a Two Guys and a Truck franchise. The first franchise is located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The 20-year-old company recently announced plans to sell exclusive Two Guys and a Truck® franchise territories all over Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. There currently are 20 territories available in Maryland and D.C., and another 15 in Virginia.
