Visiting with Business Incubators

I’m in Staunton, Virginia today to participate in a roundtable discussion during the Virginia Business Incubation Association Fall Conference.  The topic of the roundtable is Marketing on a Shoestring Budget.  My presentation is taking up a large part of the alotted time, mainly because I’m longwinded and I like talking at length on this topic.  My fellow roundtable members voluntarily forfeited their time because they recognized those two things about me :)

I’ll be talking about media relations, social media, SEO PR, and business blogging.  I don’t know if the session will be recorded in any way, but if it is I’ll try to get it posted here.

Edited to add: No recording of this session.  The only thing I could post is my slide presentation, and without my narration, that slide presentation would be largely useless.  With that said, the presentation went very well and I enjoyed meeting everyone!  Thanks to the VBIA for the invite!

Steve, you did a great job. Live content is the way of the 21st century, and you are one of the excited people leading the charge. As current Board President of the VBIA, it’s always great to have help with convincing our “mature” leaders to think like milennials, not to mention x- and y-geners

    Thanks!

Thanks, Jim. I really enjoyed it. I’m actually a Gen-Xer myself, but I agree that these younger generations are the clients and customers we need to get now and keep for life, and we need to communicate to them in their “language”. Not to mention, many of those communications techniques have SEO benefits that can help reach ALL potential customers who use search engines (and that’s nearly everyone these days).
