EndGame Public Relations - Audio News Releases

Click here for information on EndGame PR's Podcast Production Service

An audio news release (ANR), sometimes called a radio news release, is easily the most efficient way to reach radio audiences across the country. The EndGame Public Relations ANR system not only reaches those audiences, it can also provide something that's very rare for radio media relations-- tracking. As part of your ANR package, you will receive a detailed report on who heard it. Plus, we can deliver something else that's hard to find anywhere in the media relations world, a GUARANTEE that your ANR will be heard by more than 1.5 million listeners.

For more information, including an overview of our ANR rates, email via our contact page, or call (804) 382-0017

Want a sample? Click the Flash mp3 player below to listen to an ANR produced for consumer electronics giant Circuit City. The topic was, "What should we buy Dad for Father's Day?"

If you don't see the player, you probably don't have the Adobe Flash Player installed. You can get it here.

Curious? Want more information? Here's an FAQ that should answer all of your queries:

Q: What is an audio news release?
A: An audio news release, or ANR, is a pre-produced radio story that is marketed to radio stations as a news or feature item. ANRs are similar to video news releases (VNRs), except they're for radio, not television. In most cases, an announcer introduces the story, then "tosses" to a sound bite from the client. An ANR can be pitched to radio stations for use during newscasts (we call this a Custom Pitch ANR), or it can be placed as a feature in a radio program that is produced by our distribution partner.

Q: Who should use ANRs?
A: Anyone who has something to publicize should consider using ANRs. Radio is an excellent medium for public relations. While driving, people can't watch the television or read the newspaper … or, at least they shouldn't! Radio is the only PR vehicle (pardon the pun) that can reach people while they're in their cars.

Q: What's the difference between a Podcast and an ANR?
A: Distribution, mainly. A podcast is designed to be heard on the Internet or via mp3 player. An audio news release will be heard over the radio. If you're interested in both, we can certainly conduct one interview and use elements from that interview to create both an ANR and a Podcast.

Q: Why should we hire EndGame PR to do our ANR?
A: It's simple. We have the experience to craft your story into a newsworthy radio piece that the stations will want to run, and the system to maximize the number of listeners who will hear it. Whether your story is front page-worthy or not, we can GUARANTEE listeners. Your ANR will be "voiced" by EndGame PR President Steve Mullen, who started his post-college career as a radio newsman and has been producing ANRs since 1999.

Q: What are the benefits of ANRs?
A: One of the biggest advantages is cost. Production and distribution can be completed for less than half the price of a VNR. Another advantage is convenience. In most cases, a telephone interview lasting between 15 and 30 minutes is all that's required.

Q: What results have you gotten?
A: Our results have been impressive. For example, approximately 13 million radio listeners heard one of the most recent ANRs we produced.

Q: Who are some of your clients?
A: We have produced ANRs for Circuit City, National Oilheat Research Alliance, UVa Center for Politics, Crutchfield, Carfax.com, and others.
